THE MANAGERS:  SHELA DE LONG and TONY GODFREY

Tony Godfrey was born and raised near Nottingham, England . He began birding at the age of eleven, and has been hooked ever since. During the last 30 plus years, Tony has traveled the world extensively, visiting all seven continents. During the mid 1980’s, he emigrated to the United States . Tony is a past member of the Arizona Bird Committee.  He recently left his position as a firefighter and investigator with the Casa Grande Fire Department, in exchange for the opportunity to manage Cave Creek Ranch.

 Shela De Long was born and raised in Casa Grande, Arizona . She worked for six years in the hotel business with Holiday Inn. Shela enjoys hiking and camping in scenic remote areas of Arizona, especially the Chiricahua Mountains . Shela designed and created Artfullbirds.com, a web gallery of bird photographs taken by Tony.

 Tony and Shela are very excited about managing Cave Creek Ranch, and thank the owner, Reed Peters, for the opportunity of a lifetime. We look forward to meeting our future ranch guests, and will do our best to make your stay a memorable and pleasant experience.
